First Haircut

Yesterday we brought Cooper in for his first professional grooming session. I probably didn’t do a very good job describing what I wanted. It didn’t help that I didn’t know any of the terminology.  And that my main description involved not wanting him to look like a poodle.

What did I find when I got home? A puppy with a Bichon Frise haircut on the face.

I really like how the rest of the body is trimmed short. I’m sure the puppy will be more comfortable.

But my description of what I wanted for the face was pretty vague. I didn’t want them to shave it down into a poodle nose, but I assumed they would trim it so it looked tidy still. The face just looks shaggy to me. It’s the longest hair on his body right now.

I’ll probably trim him down so his nose is the same length as the rest of his fur. He’s still darn cute though.

In other news I can’t get over how much the little fluffball has grown in the last 2 1/2 months. He’s such a puppy still.
